DMCA & Takedown Policy

Overview

Minecraft List respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar applicable laws.

What Can Be Reported

  • Server listings using copyrighted banners, logos, or images without permission.
  • Server descriptions containing copyrighted text.
  • Unauthorized use of your brand or trademark in a server listing.
  • Any other content on the platform that infringes your copyright.

Filing a DMCA Notice

To file a DMCA takedown notice, please provide the following information:

  1. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The URL or specific location on Minecraft List where the infringing material is located.
  3. Your contact information (name, email address, phone number).
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Server Owner Requests

If you are a Minecraft server owner and want your server removed from our listings, you don't need to file a DMCA notice. Simply:

  1. Contact us via Discord or our contact page.
  2. Provide proof of server ownership (e.g., access to the server console or domain).
  3. We will remove the listing within 48 hours.

Player Data Removal

If your Minecraft username appears in our player tracking database and you would like it removed, contact us via Discord or our contact page with your username. We will remove your player data within 48 hours.

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice containing: your contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court. We will forward counter-notices to the original complainant.

Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, we will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Server listings that are the subject of multiple valid DMCA complaints will be permanently removed.
